What spark plug do you guys us in the X, Has any one gone with the split fire, or some after market plug?? Or does any one run one at a different heat range. I was thinking of trying the DR8ES-L, rather than the DR8ES, from my understanding the "L" is a half heat range hotter. Do you guys think it would be better or worse to have a hotter plug?? Do you think it would start a little better with a hotter range plug??

Thanks.

I have no clue on plugs, I just R&R the same thing each time.

Stay with the stock one, there is zero reason to change unless you're running a high strung race motor (read high compression). The last thing you want is a hotter plug in a hot running (but reliable) 350X motor.

The only time I ran a hotter plug then stock was on a 250R that was fowling out the plug. The hotter plug allowed it to burn the crap off the plug before it began to fowl.

thanks guy for the feed back, ya im sticking with stock i did some other looking around and you get no gain from a hotter plug, cause it's not the spark that's hotter it the way the plug re-leases the heat or something like that.

Generally, if you're fouling plugs, there's a fixable reason.

I ended up reringing, but it was a good short term fix.
