View Full Version : Fuel petcock leak?

My fuel petcock leaks to the outside (around the face) when in the "On" position. It does not leak in the "Res" or "off" position.

I know it is riveted together, but has anyone ever taken one of these apart? Was it repairable??

If not, does anyone have one they want to sell??

Thanks in advance,
Keith

Just replace the whole deal. I would imagine you can find them at any atv dealer, or online.

Hi Keith.

There has to be a washer or Oring inside. But, it doesn't look like the petcock can be serviced.

I have a few leads for a new one. They aren't very expensive (unless you're looking on eBay). When I get home tonight I will post you the leads.

Until then stick some bubble gum in the crack!! :D

I ordered one from G&H (ebay ad).... These guys are well stocked and reasonable on shipping.
Thanks for the advice. I was considering taking it apart, because the first thing I checked was the Honda price...... $75 :(
The aftermarket price of $25 shipped was much more acceptable!
