Back in the day, what seems like a time long long ago, a 200x was my first motorized vehicle. I was 11 years old at the time, but remember it like it was yesterday, well not like yesterday but I remember it well.

I still miss that trike, but my 350x makes up for it.

The baby "X". LOL....

Do they have a 5 or 6 spd trans?

It was a baby x for sure. They are 5 speeds, I remember always wishing for another gear.

I bet it went at least 50mph or more, just took a little bit to get there.

My first trike was a yamaha 200e. no suspension. big bulgy tires.. I pounded that thing for years. sold it to a friend, he sold it to his cousin and its still going. with no major repairs. Great trike. Im looking for a 200x for my wife....(she cant ride that good so its really just to add another to my collection... shhhhh).

Grew up on Honda ATC's. 70 when I was 6 years old, then graduated to a 110, then a 250SX, and finally a 200X before we quit riding. That 200X was so nice for a teen. I used to ride it all night, just doing laps in our pasture pretending I was racing. Loved being able to roost, chill out, and think to myself w/o a TV or other interruptions. Think thats why I'm anxious to get my kids involved. It was my "out" when I needed it.

My grandparents started it all for us. They bought a pair of ATC 110's back in 1980. Then my Dad bought a Yamaha Tri Moto 175. Everyone had fun, so they multiplied like rabbits. The 70 was next, followed by my grandparents buying the ATC 200 I still have, and a 250SX much later. My folks picked up the 200X also around that same time and a second 250SX. We had a trike for each of us to ride back in the day.

I recently picked up a 86 200X that I sold so I could purchase the 350X. It was nice, but the 350X is way more fun and fits my big azz better.

I just finished up an 85 250sx for a guy that needed the carb cleaned and a few electrical things, but that is a nice ride. Other than being hevy it sure has a low center of gravity and does it ever like to ride a smooth wheeeeeely.

Is the 200x more the stature of the 350x or is a diffrent animal?

The 200x is a sport bike in nature but in a different class than the 350 (obviously)

I love my SX - probably my best for trail riding when i just want to take it easy .. it's also a pretty good jumper and fig 8 racer Ha!

My first trike was a basket case '82 big wheel ATC200. Bought it in pieces for $85 from a coworker who'd given up fixing it. Worked on it all that night and had it running by 10pm. Picked up a twist throttle at the cycle shop the next day, and out we went. Damn thing had the original tires with literally 40 plugs in them. It ran great except for constantly yanking the POS rope starter out. Real fun to push start in the mud after that. Eventually put big wooley boogers, fork extenders, and a cam.
Sold it to my bud to buy an '85 250SX. Great all around trike, with elec.(and KICK!) start, reverse, and shaft drive.
Then got my first Tri-Z, it was stolen, but not before clocking it at 87mph. Then a beater 200X that I owned for years, traded for a Browning HP, then bought back a couple years later. I took the engine out of that thing at least thirty times for one thing or another. Actually took it all the way to splitting the cases one day after work, then had it running again by 10pm.
Then my current Tri-Z in '95, and the 350X I bought last week. I remember driving about 50 miles to a dealer in west palm that had these on special when they were new. Haggled for hours but just couldn't make the deal. So, 24 years later, I finally have one.

'Bout time!

I just picked up a 200X from a buddy. Im going to be getting it up and running soon. Hopefully just in time for desert season. Plus it gives the wife something to ride, since I also have an 450r bike.

I am located in San Diego, CA. Thanks, I just got it running. It doesnt have the dreaded cam bump knock. It came with a Supertrap on it and all in all is in really good shape. I do need to rebuild the front master cylinder and replace the rotted out fluid cup on it. But other then that it is almost ready for desert season!
